“Saw That” Cards
These boys are demonstrating one of the most important skills that employers desire — the ability to collaborate!
Open-Gate Foundation believes that we must train up the whole child, not just academic skills, to produce a productive member of society. To support teachers in the soft-skills, Open-Gate Foundation has produced “Saw That” Cards that catch kids demonstrating 21st Century soft skills such as
- Learning from their mistakes
- Being curious and initiating learning
- Helping others
- Being a creative problem solver
- Being a collaborator
Each “Saw That” Card has space to personalize the feedback to a student, sign and date. Each card also includes a “Did You Know” statement that links their soft-skill to the desires of employers in Nevada. The card also provides the web address for the Nevada Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology website, Nevada STEM Hub, which has a plethora of information on STEM-related careers.
To order your classroom sets of “Saw That” Cards, use the form below.
